KEYS FINISH TRIP WITH RESOUNDING SHUTOUT WIN
Largest Victory of Season End Long Road Stretch

The Keys came out of the gates flying as they dominated Salem throughout with an 8-0 win on Thursday night to complete their road trip. Frederick finished the trip with a 4-3 record and completed a stretch of 14-of-17 games away from home over .500 with a 9-8 mark.

It all started atop the hill where Keys ace Jake Arrieta dominated again. The right-hander came into the ballgame with a .147 average against and continued his outstanding campaign. Arrieta allowed two hits in seven innings as the Keys finished off their second shutout of the 2008 season.

The offense was also up to the task. The Keys scored in six of their nine innings to run away. Frederick got three hit games from both SS Chris Amador and LF Paul WInterling. Keys C Matt Wieters hit a mammoth home run in the fifth inning to push his league high total to nine. All-in-all the Keys had 13 of the game's 15 hits.

The Keys return home to begin a ten game homestand in ten days beginning with a four game series with Lynchburg. Friday, May 16th is the Principal Family Funfest beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Harry Grove Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and fireworks will follow the game.
