KEYS FIZZLE IN 9-4 LOSS
Early Four-Run Lead Dissipates in Defeat
The Frederick Keys lost a 4-0 lead early as Winston-Salem stunned the Keys with a six-run third inning as the series evened at a game apiece in a 9-4 loss. The six-run inning sent ten men to the plate and forced Keys starter Jake Renshaw (2-1) from the game after three innings. The Keys got off to a great start though. All nine batter had a basehit in the game for Frederick. CF Danny Figueroa scored a run for a seventh straight game. The Keys continue the series Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. in Winston-Salem.
